Itinerary (What to Expect)
Meeting & Intro (10 min)
Meet in front of McDonald's just outside JR Tenma Station's ticket gate. Your guide will confirm dietary needs and introduce the area.
Takoyaki & History Stroll (30 min)
Walk through the historic Tenjinbashisuji Shopping Street. To spark your appetite, we'll share piping-hot Takoyaki (octopus dumplings). Your guide will share the neighborhood's deep history, including the 10th-century Osaka Tenmangu Shrine.
1st Stop: Standing Sushi (40 min)
Step into Ura-Tenma, a photogenic maze illuminated by paper lanterns. Our first stop is a beloved standing sushi bar. Taste incredibly fresh, market-direct seafood paired with your first drink. Experience how local salarymen unwind!
2nd Stop: Crispy Kushikatsu (40 min)
You can't leave Osaka without trying Kushikatsu (deep-fried skewers). We'll visit a retro, red-lantern Izakaya for perfectly crispy skewers and a cold drink. Let's discuss anything from Japanese street fashion to local J-League football!
3rd Stop: Deep Local Tavern (40 min)
We'll navigate to a hidden tavern to savour hearty traditional dishes like Oden (Japanese hot pot) or sizzling Teppanyaki. Mingle with locals and truly experience Osaka's “Kuidaore” (eat-until-you-drop) spirit.
Sweet Finale: Japanese Dessert (20 min)
To wrap up our epic food marathon, we'll treat ourselves to traditional Japanese Wagashi (confections) or a rich matcha dessert.
