Even the way to Dialogue im Dunkeln is part of the Hamburg experience: Stroll through the historic Speicherstadt with its brick buildings, canals, and bridges – right into the heart of one of the city's most extraordinary experiences.

1. Everything that glows stays outside

Store bags and all luminous items in our free lockers. Put away your cell phone, put away your smartwatch, turn off the light. The tension rises.

1. Your guide for the darkness

You can still see in the dark lock. Here you will receive your long stick – you will need it in a moment.

1. Step by step into the dark

With each step, more light disappears until you are standing in complete darkness. Here, your guide will greet you and take over the guided tour.

1. A new world opens up

Sight no longer matters now. Hearing, touch and smell take over. Your journey begins together with your guide.

1. Experience space 1 – What do you perceive?

A familiar soundscape surrounds you. Where are you? Listen more closely, feel the ground, and pay attention to smells. Suddenly, things that you hardly notice otherwise become important.

1. Experience Space 2 – Discover with your hands

Now your sense of touch plays the starring role. Feel your way along the walls and discover objects at different heights. If you feel brave, venture right into the middle.

1. Experience Space 3 – A moment that lasts

A door opens, and suddenly there is a lot of activity. Now you need a long stick, ears, and a little courage. What awaits here will be remembered by many for a long time.

1. The Dunkelbar

The last stop is the Dunkelbar. Order drinks and snacks and find out how well paying without seeing works – preferably with some cash. Afterwards, you can talk to your guide and ask any questions that came up during the tour.
