Djoudj National Park is the world's third-largest bird sanctuary. It is located 65 kilometres (40 miles) north of Saint-Louis. The drive takes 1.5 hours. The road is currently being rebuilt; soon, the distance will be shorter. More than 365 species can be found in the park. 90% are migratory birds, present from October to April during the high season. April–May is the low season. Birds, mammals, reptiles. Half-day and full-day tours are available. The tour includes a section by canoe, and the rest is by car and on foot.
