This guided experience invites you to explore the Dolomites through all five senses, led by a Certified Environmental Hiking Guide (GAE). The activity begins with a short introduction at the meeting point, where the guide presents the area, the expected conditions and the plan for the day. The route is not fixed in advance: it is designed together with the guests and adapted to the group’s level, the weather and the condition of the trails. All options maintain the same overall duration and structure.
The first part of the walk usually takes place in the forest, where the atmosphere is quiet and immersive. Here you learn to recognise the shapes of the trees, the colours of the vegetation and the signs left by wildlife. As the trail opens into meadows and panoramic viewpoints, the landscape reveals the geological history of the Dolomites, shaped by ancient seas and millions of years of natural forces.
Throughout the hike, the guide introduces simple sensory activities that help you connect more deeply with the environment: listening to the soundscape of the forest, touching rocks and natural textures, observing details in the landscape and recognizing the scents of alpine herbs, resin and wildflowers. These moments turn the walk into a richer and more meaningful experience.
Depending on the chosen route and the conditions of the day, the experience may include short breaks in scenic spots to rest, enjoy the views and learn more about the natural and cultural heritage of the area. After the central part of the walk, the outing continues with a relaxed return to the starting point along a trail suitable for the group.
The total duration is approximately 4 to 5 hours, with a comfortable pace suitable for beginners, families and anyone with basic hiking ability.
This is not just a hike. It is a way to experience the Dolomites with your senses, understand their natural heritage and feel part of the landscape around you.
