What you can expect

In Sharm el Sheikh, we will pick you from your accommodation at your hotel. Our bus is equipped with air conditioning for your comfort. We will then transport you to a location around 20 minutes away, where you will have the opportunity to drive sand buggies. You will receive a short instructional session on how to operate the vehicles safely before the excitement and enjoyment begins.

We will offer you a knowledgeable guide who will accompany you to explore the awe-inspiring landscapes of the stunning South Sinai desert. This is the perfect opportunity for you to fully enjoy the vastness of the desert by speeding through it.

While on the journey, you will make a pause to savour the delightful Egyptian tea served at a Bedouin tent, and witness the breathtaking sunset, which depends on the departure time.

You can choose to ride a single sand buggy or share it with another person.

The sand buggies provided are equipped with seatbelts and specifically designed to handle the desert terrain, making it a safe option for children as well.

We paid for a buggy. They took us to where the tour started, it was very disorganized, we had to wait a long time. The vehicles are in very bad condition, our vehicle was going at a maximum speed of 10km/h, they didn't help us even though we asked. Too many of us started at the same time, it was impossible to enjoy the whole thing, it's typically about taking your money. We've been on many programs, they were good in every way. I don't recommend this to anyone!!!!!

The excursion was great and the guides were lovely, however please take extra money with you. Although it is mandatory to pay the security fee there are also extras which you are forced to buy. If you haven’t pre-paid for a scarf you are required to buy one on the spot and they are 250 EGP each. If you don’t have sun glasses these are also a requirement and you are expected to purchase those also. We ended up spending an additional 1200 EGP which we didn’t actually budget in to it but luckily we had money with us. You are also pestered at every stop by children trying to sell you bracelets and you need money again for drinks when you stop for a cup of tea as it’s a mouthful of tea but they come round with water and fizzy pop first. I think a scarf and sunglasses should be added to the list of items to take with you. Overall the excursion was nearly 4 hours long. however the transfer there was 1.5 hrs we spent less than an hour on the buggy before the journey back.
