️A Balcony on Lake Garda Inaugurated in 1851, the Ponale has been for over a century the only route for the Valle di Ledro. Today it is closed to vehicular traffic and reserved exclusively for hikers and bikers. Its peculiarity is the incredible exposure: you will walk on a rock ledge overlooking the turquoise waters of Lake Garda, with a view that ranges from Monte Baldo to Torbole. How to walk it In Mountain Bike: It is the iconic route par excellence. Climbing towards Ledro through the Ponale is the initiation rite for every biker who passes through these parts. Mediterranean atmosphere in the Alps Along the way you will smell wild rosemary and holm oaks, while the Ora del Garda wind will accompany you on the climb. At the end of the panoramic part, you can choose whether to continue towards Lake Ledro (which we talked about before!) or stop at the scenic Ponale waterfall.
