After collecting you from your accommodation in Edinburgh we shall firstly arrive at the seaside town of south Queensferry where we can marvel at the engineering of the famous Forth bridges.
Onwards north we travel through the fertile farmland of the Scottish lowlands which takes us to the " east neuk of fife "
There are delightful coastal villages here with a distinct fishing heritage, all still have there original harbours where we can still see modern creel boats and traditional fisherman's cottages.
Arriving in St Andrews we have plenty time to explore this fascinating town. Famous as the home of golf, we can take in the old course and the Swilkin bridge on the 18th fairway.
The town is also home to a 12th century castle and neighbouring Cathedral, once the ecclesiastical capital of Scotland its a town steeped in history. The University which dates from 1416 is the oldest in Scotland and has many fascinating buildings to explore and sits alongside the bustling town centre with its fabulous array of independent shops and eateries.
A specialised one hour golf walking tour hosted by the old course guides is available on request subject to availability ( pre booking required) we can offer a town guided walk as an alternative for the non golfers. There are many options for a relaxed lunch on offer and we can pre book a table for you depending on your individual requirements.
We then head back to Edinburgh for drop off at your Hotel after a relaxed and enjoyable day!
