What you can expect

  • Think you can trust your eyes? Think again. At the Museum of Illusions Amsterdam, nothing is as it seems - walk on walls, shrink your friends, and snap photos that will genuinely confuse everyone back home.

Step inside and prepare to challenge your perception from the very first moment. As you journey through over 60 illusion rooms and installations, you'll encounter mind-bending experiences that disrupt your sense of space, depth, and balance. But this isn't just a place to take fun photos — it's a chance to discover how your brain really works.

Whether you're visiting with family, exploring the city with friends, on a quirky date, or joining a group outing - the Museum of Illusions delivers the same result every time: genuine laughter, jaw-dropping moments, and photos nobody will believe are real. Kids go wild in the Cloning Room and the Vortex Tunnel, while adults get just as completely sucked in. Friendly staff are on hand throughout to help with photos and explain the science behind each illusion.

Located in a stunning former church on Keizersgracht, one of Amsterdam's most iconic canals - easy to find, right in the heart of the city.
