Discover the natural beauty of the Chapalla Cenote and the mysterious caverns of Anjaramachay in Ayacucho, a unique experience in Peruvian nature.

We will leave early in the morning from the main square of Ayacucho, heading to the town of Carampa, in the district of Alcamenca. On the way, we will make a brief stop at Condorcocha for those who wish to enjoy breakfast (not included in the package), before continuing our way to the impressive Chapalla Cenote.

Upon arrival at the cenote, we will be greeted by breathtaking scenery at 3,200 metres above sea level. This natural cenote, with a diameter of at least 50 metres, offers greenish waters that come from subway springs in the region. The atmosphere here invites contemplation and awe at this natural wonder, surrounded by the Toma mountain range and panoramic views that captivate locals and visitors alike.

After exploring the cenote, we will head to the nearby Anjaramachay Caverns, just an 8-minute walk away. These caverns hide crystal clear waters of a vibrant turquoise colour, creating a perfect backdrop for capturing memorable photos and videos. As we explore deeper, we will feel the unique atmosphere of the caverns, where the lack of oxygen limits our tour to certain points, adding a touch of adventure and mystery to the experience.

After this subway adventure, we will have the opportunity to enjoy a lunch prepared by the local “mamitas vianderas” (additional cost), who offer typical dishes that perfectly complement our day of exploration.

Around 2:30 p.m., we will start our return to Huamanga, taking with us unforgettable memories of this day in the virgin nature of Ayacucho. The excursion concludes around 6:00 p.m., leaving the participants with the sensation of having lived a unique experience in a natural environment that enchants and surprises at every step.
