What you can expect

  • Begin your 2-day Merzouga desert tour from Errachidia with a pickup from Moulay Ali Cherif Airport or your hotel in Errachidia. Travel along the Ziz Valley, stopping at a panoramic viewpoint for stunning photos. Continue to Erg Chebbi dunes via Erfoud, the capital of fossils.

    Arrive in Merzouga, where an experienced camel guide and camels will be waiting to take you across the breathtaking dunes of Merzouga. Ride for around half an hour to reach the camp. Spend the night with locals under the stars.

    On the second day, start with a delicious breakfast in your desert camp. Then, camel trek back to Merzouga town. Begin your explorative day of the Merzouga desert, driving through the desert in a 4×4 vehicle.

    Visit a nomadic family close to the borders between Morocco and Algeria. Then, head to Khamlia village to enjoy and listen to Gnaoua music, and experience their lifestyle. In the evening, return to Errachidia and get dropped off at the airport or your hotel.
