An evocative itinerary to discover the most mysterious and symbolic side of Brescia, among ancient sites, forgotten cults, underground waters, churches full of meaning and traces of forbidden knowledge.

Magic and the ways in which, over the centuries, people have attributed profound meanings to urban spaces: the hidden waters of the Garza, the hill as a place of power, churches as “stone books,” medieval knowledge linked to herbs, astrology and alchemy, up to the Enlightenment and Masonic references of the modern age.

From the heart of Roman Brixia, with the Capitolium and the mystery cults of antiquity, to the Old Cathedral and the Castle on Cidneo Hill, the route will tell the storey of a city suspended between documented history, symbolic tradition and the collective imagination.

During the tour, we will read the city with different eyes, going beyond the surface of the monuments to look for what often goes unnoticed: symbols carved in stone, ancient beliefs, references to light, transformation, the sacred and the relationship between heaven and earth.

A fascinating guided visit with a difference, to discover a secret Brescia – not because it is invisible, but because we are often no longer accustomed to interpreting it.
