Our Etna Adventure off-road 4x4 tour is the first and only tour from Catania to the Rifugio Sapienza on Mount Etna, offering an off-road adventure to explore the volcanic landscape.
The route includes significant stops to explore with a licensed guide:

• Cava Asero: An area of interest due to its geological conformation and because it is a disused lava extraction quarry (30-MINUTE STOP)
• Serra La Nave pine forest: A pine forest that often marks the transition to higher altitudes and offers a contrast between the vegetation and the lava rock.
• Teseo Screpolato: a monumental bronze sculpture located at a spectacular vantage point (10-MINUTE STOP)
• Rifugio Sapienza (final stop): Located at about 1900 metres on the south side of Mount Etna, this is the arrival point where you can admire the Silvestri Craters. (2.5-HOUR STOP)

This type of tour combines driving on dirt roads between lava flows and forests with the aim of illustrating the geology, flora and eruptive history of the volcano.
