One-hour cultural experience, you will spend time with a Maiko (apprentice geisha) in an intimate and traditional setting. With only 40 maikos left in Kyoto, this is a one in a life-time oppurtunity. The experience begins with an introduction to Maiko culture and traditions. You will then enjoy a live performance of two elegant traditional dances, showcasing the refined movements and artistry that Maiko are known for. After the performance, you will take part in a tea ceremony experience. The Maiko will demonstrate how authentic matcha is prepared and explain its cultural significance. You will also learn how to whisk and prepare matcha yourself under her guidance, gaining hands-on insight into this centuries-old tradition. Throughout the session, there will be opportunities to ask questions and take photos, making it both an educational and memorable cultural experience.
