This tour starts with a boat-tour in the morning. We will cover more than 55 most important ghats including Assi-ghat, Tulsi-ghat, Harishchandra-ghat, Dashashwamedh-ghat and Manikarnika-ghat, which is the most venerated crematorium for Hindus alongwith many other ghats.
Then, we will proceed for Sarnath. Sarnath is known today as a Buddhist site where Gautam Buddha had given his first sermon. This place has some very beautiful Buddhist temples, an archaeological park dotted with several ancient ruins & monuments and a small but very important museum.
After Sarnath, we will be back to the city & go for a walk in the old part of the city to explore several hidden gems in the tangled backstreet, bazars, havelis, temples and ghats etc. Thus, this tour will introduce you to the essence of this most ancient, habituated city of the world. We will also taste some of the local delicacies of the town.
