Travellers will meet at SHIKA. in Kanazawa and be welcomed into a relaxed workshop setting. The experience begins with a brief introduction to Kanazawa’s black tile culture and the storey of the onigawara tradition. Guests will then create their own craft bonsai using a rare black-glazed tile pot, with step-by-step guidance throughout the process. No prior experience is needed, and all materials are provided. At the end of the workshop, travellers can take home their finished bonsai as a unique souvenir of Kanazawa. The experience concludes with matcha and Japanese sweets, giving guests time to relax, take photos, and enjoy their finished craft bonsai.
