What you can expect

Enjoy one of the most iconic areas of Santander with a guide just for your family and friends. We will show you a walking tour itinerary, which can be modified to suit your preferences.

We will begin the guided tour by exploring the interior of the Palacio de la Magdalena. We will tour the most important rooms on the main floor, which is the one open to the public, and you will learn about the history of the Spanish monarchs, Alfonso XIII and Victoria Eugenia, during their summers in Santander.

Next, we will visit the main attractions of the Magdalena Peninsula, such as the open-air museum El Hombre y la Mar (Man and the Sea), where you will learn about “La Balsa,” the raft belonging to explorer and adventurer Vital Alsar, and the galleons that crossed the Atlantic following the route of Francisco de Orellana.

We will also visit the mini zoo, home to sea lions, seals, and Cape penguins, as well as the Caballerizas Reales (Royal Stables), which currently house the Menéndez Pelayo International University.
