The Sommarøy archipelago is a natural wonder that spontaneously awakens the souls of explorers.
At the end of the road, only the sea offers the opportunity to discover this still-wild world.
Sommarøy Island is located on the west coast of Kvaløya, 52 km from the centre of Tromsø. It is in the heart of this fortress of islands and coral reefs that the 69Nord team invites you to take a deep breath of fresh air. Embark for a few hours of sailing in turquoise waters, a glide protected from the swell, at the limit of the fjords and the open sea, the habitat of otters, puffins, sea eagles, and white-tailed sea eagles.
This guided tour is exclusive in Norway, and it begins and ends at our outdoor centre in Sommarøy.
Beginners are welcome.
Children aged 10 and up are allowed when accompanied by an adult
Our Hobie kayaks are equipped with comfortable seats, a particularly efficient pedal propulsion system, and an intuitive steering system that allows you to embark on the adventure without any experience in paddle sports. However, for those who wish to paddle, our kayaks are equipped with both propulsion systems. This is a great opportunity to share an activity with family or friends, regardless of the skill level of the participants. Our Hobie double kayaks can be equipped with small additional floats to ensure perfect stability of the boat. This equipment is very popular with parents who go out with young children and reassures other non-practicing adults.
