Start your surfing adventure at Famara, the most iconic and protected beach in Lanzarote. Since 1996, at Calima Surf, we've been teaching much more than just how to stand on a board: we've been teaching people to experience the sea, to discover a new rhythm, to understand the sea, and to let their connection with nature transform their body and mind.
Experience five intense days of surfing.
Start each morning at our school, collect your gear, and join our instructors in the water. In small groups, you will learn at your own pace, receiving personalised attention and tips that will help you improve with each wave.
The experience goes far beyond technique. We want you to learn to read the sea, to feel the energy of the waves, and to respect the unique environment that makes Famara a magical place. Each lesson begins with a short safety briefing and an explanation of the basics of surfing, before you head out into the water, where each wave becomes an opportunity for improvement. Our instructors will be by your side, correcting your technique, celebrating your progress, and teaching you how to turn, glide, and enjoy the sense of freedom that only surfing can provide.
Discover unique moments.
Tuesdays and Fridays are magical days: We'll hold a Dry Surf Functional Balance session, an innovative on-land training programme that improves your balance and coordination, and we'll take photos of you in the water so you can have souvenirs and track your progress. We recommend that you start the course on one of those days to make the most of them.

In 5 days, you will have completed 20 hours of surfing, received your certificate, and, most importantly, discovered how the sea calms the mind and revitalises the body.
