What you can expect

Cruise out to see some of the greatest creatures on earth amid the North Atlantic waters on this whale-watching voyage. A specially modified vessel and a dedicated crew are waiting to give you an up-close look at the marine creatures who gather off the Icelandic coast.

The journey starts at Reykjavík's Old Harbour, where you meet your guide in an old fishing craft that now rests as a permanent fixture at the pier. Here, you can check out a multimedia show that introduces you to the birds and sea mammals to be found on the voyage, and then get ready to set out into Faxa Bay.

With an indoor lounge and an open deck, the vessel offers plenty of room to admire the sights in comfort. You won't have to travel far from shore before you’re passing by the wealth of creatures at home in the waters, from little harbour porpoises to white-beaked dolphins and a great variety of whales. Keep an eye out for crowds of playful minke whales or the iconic, giant forms of the mighty humpbacks as you head farther out to sea, and get some spectacular photos of the coastline as you loop around for the return cruise to Reykjavik.
