What you can expect

During this private visit we will visit the town of Finisterre and we will reveal stories of shipwrecks, sailors, how the
boats are different and what has forged the character and history of this “recuncho” of Galicia. Of course there will also be time to talk about the Camino de Santiago. Did you know there is a Camino that does not reach Compostela, but starts from there towards Fisterra?

After visiting the church of Nuestra Señora del Buen Suceso we will go to the Castle of San Carlos, but not before talking about the typical fishing villages of the Costa da Morte, the Coast of Death. You will find out why it has such a terrorific reputation and is known by this nickname.

Have you ever seen a fish market where fish is auctioned after being discharged at port? The Playa da Ribeira is another point of interest located in the town's centre where the old fortress of Castillo de San Carlos as a witness.

We will recall famous shipwrecks known worldwide that occurred in the area and the ecological damage caused.

At the end, last but not least, your guide will give you recommendations and suggestions to get the most out of your stay in Fisterra. There are still many places to go and many places to enjoy the famous Galician gastronomy and wines.
