  • Please note that a strict dress code is enforced inside the Cathedral. Shoulders and knees must be covered. Visitors wearing shorts, short skirts, sleeveless tops, or revealing clothing may be denied entry. After taking the lift to reach the Rooftop Terraces, visitors may need to walk up a small number of additional steps to access certain areas. Please also be aware that, according to Duomo regulations, the descent from the rooftop is mandatory via stairs and cannot be done by lift. This rule is set by the Cathedral authorities and is beyond our control. We kindly recommend wearing comfortable shoes and being prepared for some walking and stair climbing during the visit.
