Day 1: Andong – The Heart of Confucian Culture
Step into Korea’s past at Hahoe Folk Village, a perfectly preserved Joseon-era village famous for its traditional thatched-roof houses, Confucian culture, and stunning riverside scenery. Walk through the village, visit the Yangjin Residence, and learn about the scholarly traditions of the Ryu family. Enjoy a live Hahoe Mask Dance performance, a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage, showcasing Korea’s satirical folk theatre(No monday).
Visit Bongjeongsa Temple, home to Korea’s oldest wooden building, Geungnakjeon Hall. Nestled in the mountains, this serene temple offers a glimpse into ancient Buddhist architecture and spiritual traditions.
Next, visit Byeongsan Seowon, a Confucian academy set against beautiful mountains. Learn about Korea’s neo-Confucian education system and admire the elegant wooden structures blending with nature.
Andong Hanji Paper Factory Tour

Day 2: Gyeongju – The Thousand-Year Capital of Silla
Begin your Gyeongju adventure at the Gyeongju National Museum, home to priceless artefacts from the Silla Kingdom. See the famous Silla golden crowns, intricate Buddhist relics, and the Divine Bell of King Seongdeok.
Explore Bulguksa Temple, an architectural masterpiece representing Silla’s Buddhist heritage. Then, travel to Seokguram Grotto, a breathtaking stone cave temple with a serene Buddha statue overlooking the East Sea.
After exploring ancient temples, enjoy modern Gyeongju at Hwangnidan-gil, a charming street blending history and contemporary culture. Wander through hanok-style cafes, boutique shops, and local eateries.
Conclude your tour at Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond, where ancient palace ruins reflect beautifully on the water under soft lighting. This stunning night view is one of Gyeongju’s must-see attractions
