Day 1: Arequipa to Chivay – Scenic Highlands & Thermal Baths
Start: 7:45 am
Your adventure begins with a hotel pickup in Arequipa, heading towards Chivay through the stunning Andean highlands. Along the route, enjoy stops to observe llamas, alpacas, and vicuñas in their natural environment. At Patapampa (4,900 m / 16,076 ft), take in sweeping views of the volcanic range before descending into the Colca Valley.
Upon arrival in Chivay, enjoy an optional lunch and check in at your hotel. In the afternoon, relax in the soothing local thermal baths (optional). In the evening, you may join an optional welcome dinner featuring live Andean music and dance.
Day 2: Colca Canyon – Condors & Andean Landscapes – Transfer to Puno
Start: 6:30 am – Arrival in Puno: 7:30 pm
Begin early to explore the Colca Canyon. Visit the picturesque village of Maca and its colonial church, then continue to the Antahuilque viewpoint for impressive views of pre-Inca terraces. At Cruz del Cóndor, witness the unforgettable flight of the Andean condor as it soars above the canyon walls.
Return to Chivay for an optional lunch before starting the scenic journey to Puno. Along the way, stop at Lagunillas Lagoon (4,400 m / 14,436 ft), known for its highland birds and serene landscapes. Upon arrival in Puno, transfer to your hotel.
Day 3: Lake Titicaca – Uros & Taquile Islands
Start: 7:15 am – Arrival to Puno: 4:00 pm
After hotel pickup, board a fast boat to explore Lake Titicaca, the world’s highest navigable lake (3,812 m / 12,507 ft). Your first stop is the floating Uros Islands, where you’ll learn about the unique techniques used to build their reed islands. An optional ride on a traditional totora boat is available.
Continue to Taquile Island, renowned for its master weavers and preserved Inca traditions. Enjoy a local lunch with panoramic views of the lake and the Andes before returning to Puno in the afternoon.
