Day 1: Arequipa - Chivay - Colca Canyon

  • Accommodation: 1 night accommodation in bungalows within the Sangalle Oasis (shared room)

Chivay

Pick up from the hotels from 2 : 45 am, you can pick up from your hotel or from our main point Plaza de Armas to start the three-hour journey to Chivay, where we will arrive around 6 : 30 a.m. to enjoy the breakfast for 1 hour approx.

Colca Canyon

  • 2h
Then we will continue to the Cross of the Condor, making stops at the viewpoints of Antahuilque to appreciate the pre-Inca walkeries. At 8:30 a.m. we'll arrive at the Cross of the Condor to observe the majestic flight of the condors and the depth of the canyon.

Oasis Sangalle

Afterwards, from Pampa San Miguel we will start a walk of approximately four hours to the community of San Juan de Chuccho, where we will have lunch with a local family. In the afternoon, we will continue walking for about three more hours to the oasis of Sangalle, where we can relax, enjoy the natural environment and swim in its pools. We will rest in shared or private rooms for an additional amount.

Day 2: Cabanaconde - Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve - Arequipa

Cabanaconde

At 4:30 a.m. we will start the walk to Cabanaconde, with adjustable hours according to the guide and the physical condition of the group. Around 8:30 a.m. we will arrive at Cabanaconde for breakfast for 1 hour approx.

Salinas y Aguada Blanca National Reserve

Then we will visit the Thermal Baths where we will stay for about 1 hour and then continue to Chivay for lunch. At 13:00 p.m. we will start the return to Arequipa with stops at the Mirador de los Andes (4910 metres above sea level) and the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve.

Plaza de Armas

We will arrive in Arequipa at approximately 17:30 p.m., with disembarkation three blocks from the Plaza de Armas.
