  • Start your Adventure your professional driver will pick you up from your hotel in Bali and head to the ferry terminal. Board the ferry and enjoy a scenic ride to Java. Upon arrival, meet your guide and begin your trek to the Ijen Crater.

    As you hike, admire the breathtaking views of the acid lake and the sunrise point. Learn about the volcano's history and the blue fire that once lit up the crater.

    Mount Ijen, located in East Java, Indonesia, is an active stratovolcano standing at 2,799 metres (9,183 feet). It's famous for its Ijen Crater Lake, a turquoise acidic lake, and the rare blue flames visible at night due to ignited sulphur gases.

    Ijen is also known for its sulphur mining, where miners extract sulphur from the crater vents in dangerous conditions without protective gear. The volcano last erupted in 1999 but remains active, with regular sulphur emissions.

    Tourists hike to the summit for panoramic views, often overnight to see the blue flames and sunrise. The area is part of the Ijen Volcano Complex Nature Reserve, home to diverse wildlife like the Javanese Eagle.
