Embark on a full-day hiking tour from Barcelona to the Costa Brava. Discover the untouched beauty of the Camino de Ronda, a historic coastal trail renowned for its rugged cliffs, crystal-clear waters, and secluded coves.
Depart from Barcelona and embark on a comfortable journey to reach the picturesque fishing village of Calella de Palafrugell. Known for its whitewashed houses, charming streets, and sweeping views of the Mediterranean, this village is the perfect starting point for your coastal hike.
Set off on an approximately 3-mile (5 km) trail that promises to captivate your senses. As you begin, be greeted by stunning vistas of the sparkling Mediterranean Sea and dramatic coastal cliffs. The path is well maintained but retains its rustic charm, winding through lush pine forests, rocky outcrops, and golden sandy beaches.
One of the highlights of this trail is the series of hidden coves that dot the coastline. Many of these secluded spots, such as Cala Estreta, Cala S’Alguer, and Playa del Castell, are accessible only by sea or via this very path, making them pristine and less crowded.
The clear turquoise waters here are perfect for a quick dip or simply to marvel at the vibrant marine life. As you walk, pass traditional fishing huts and historic landmarks, remnants of the region's maritime heritage. The trail offers numerous photo opportunities, so make sure to bring your camera to capture the stunning panoramas.
Your hike concludes at Cala Fosca, a tranquil beach framed by rocky headlands and lined with local restaurants and bars. Here, unwind, enjoy a refreshing drink, and savour a delicious Mediterranean lunch. With its relaxed atmosphere and stunning setting, Cala Fosca is the perfect place to reflect on the beauty you’ve just experienced.
We offer several carefully curated routes along the Costa Brava, designed to showcase its beauty while being accessible to most fitness levels. This means the experience is not an intense hiking adventure but rather a leisurely exploration.
While the tour includes some adventurous elements like cliff diving and snorkelling, these are just brief, optional highlights and not the focus of the experience.
For those joining us during cooler months, don't worry—water activities will be replaced with enriching land-based explorations to ensure an equally enjoyable experience.
