What you can expect

  • During a day trip, you will travel by minibus from Basel to the beautiful region of Alsace in France. Your adventure begins with a visit to the charming medieval town of Colmar, known for its well-preserved old town, colourful half-timbered houses, and picturesque canals.

Next, the journey takes you to the majestic Hohkönigsburg castle. Perched high on a hill, this stunning castle offers breathtaking views of the surrounding vineyards and countryside. You'll have the opportunity to tour the castle, learning about its rich history and strategic importance in the region.

Afterwards, the tour continues to another enchanting medieval town, Ribeauvillé. Here, you can wander through the narrow streets, admire the historic architecture, and perhaps taste some local Alsatian wines. The town's unique blend of French and German cultures is reflected in its delightful shops and restaurants.

The tour concludes with a scenic drive back to Basel, allowing you to relax and reflect on the day's experiences. The trip ends at the original meeting point, leaving you with wonderful memories of your visit to Alsace.
