What you can expect

Departure from Samarkand and Bukhara.

The journey to the Yurt Camp by Aydarkul Lake covers approximately 250 km and takes around 4–5 hours, including sightseeing stops along the route.

Route: Samarkand/Bukhara – Nurota – Yurt Camp (traditional dinner, campfire gathering with nomadic music and dance, overnight stay in a yurt).

Day 1:

Nurota: Visit the historical complex featuring the remains of an ancient fortress traditionally linked to Alexander the Great. The site also includes two 16th-century mosques and a sacred spring-fed pond inhabited by protected fish.

Aydarkul Lake: Enjoy lunch near the lakeshore with the chance to swim if weather conditions allow. (The Yurt Camp may adjust the lunch location to the camp area if necessary.)

Yurt Camp Experience: Upon arrival, you may try camel riding, take in the spectacular desert sunset, and relax before dinner. In the evening, gather around the fire to enjoy traditional songs performed by local nomads. Later, admire the star-filled sky and the visible Milky Way in the clear desert atmosphere.

Overnight in a traditional yurt.
