What you can expect
Bue Marino Cave Excursion
Since the 1950s, Bue Marino Cave has been one of Cala Gonone's most iconic attractions, continuing to captivate thousands of visitors from around the world every year.
The cave takes its name from the Mediterranean monk seal, known by the local people as the “Bue Marino” (“Sea Ox”) because of its stocky appearance and gentle nature. For many years, this cave served as one of the last natural refuges of this endangered species in Sardinia.
Travel to the cave aboard our boats and explore the spectacular southern branch, accompanied by the official cave guides along an easy walking route suitable for most visitors. During the 1-hour guided tour, you will discover impressive chambers filled with stunning stalactites and stalagmites, underground lakes, and fascinating insights into the cave's geological history and unique natural environment.
The total duration of the excursion is approximately 2 hours, including the return boat trip and the guided tour inside the cave.
Important: The entrance ticket to Bue Marino Cave is included in the excursion price.
