Discover Panama’s Caribbean coast on an island-hopping shore excursion from Colón Cruise Terminal. Combine Isla Linton, Isla Mamey and Isla Grande with the mangrove-lined Love Tunnel and Portobelo’s historic fortifications.
Meet your English-speaking guide at the designated cruise-terminal meeting point and travel in an air-conditioned vehicle to the boat departure point. The drive takes approximately 1–1.5 hours, depending on traffic and local conditions.
Board a local motorboat and begin exploring the Caribbean islands. At Isla Linton, look for resident monkeys among the island’s tropical vegetation. Wildlife sightings vary, so keep your camera ready and follow your guide’s instructions without feeding or touching animals.
Continue through the Love Tunnel, where mangroves arch over narrow waterways. Enjoy the change from open-sea views to sheltered channels surrounded by greenery. Access through the mangroves depends on water levels and local conditions.
Visit Isla Mamey for beach time beside the Caribbean Sea. Relax on the sand or swim when conditions allow before continuing by boat to Isla Grande.
Discover Isla Grande’s colourful waterfront and relaxed island atmosphere. Take time to enjoy the surroundings and purchase lunch at a local restaurant. Meals and additional drinks are not included.
Back on the mainland, stop in Portobelo to explore its historic coastal fortifications. See old stone walls and cannons overlooking the bay while your guide introduces the town’s role in Panama’s colonial history.
Return to Colón Cruise Terminal after a day combining island scenery, mangroves and history. Pickup and return arrangements are planned around your cruise schedule; stop order and time at each location may change with port timings, traffic, weather and sea conditions.
Island entrance fees of US$11 per person are additional and payable in cash to the boat operator. This excursion visits Panama’s Caribbean coast; Isla Linton is separate from the Monkey Island area of Gatun Lake.
