Pickup from your hotel in the centre of Cusco between 8:00 and 9:00 a.m., followed by a scenic drive in tourist transport towards the Sacred Valley. During the journey, you will enjoy beautiful Andean landscapes. The first stop will be the archaeological site of Moray, an impressive complex of circular terraces believed to have been used by the Incas as an agricultural experimentation centre, where different microclimates were created to cultivate a variety of crops. Afterwards, the tour continues to the district of Maras to visit the famous Salineras de Maras, a group of thousands of salt ponds that have been traditionally exploited since pre-Inca times. Here, you will learn about the traditional salt extraction process and enjoy stunning views of the landscape. Finally, we begin the return journey to Cusco, ending the tour near the main square.
