What you can expect

Meet your guide at your location in Durres, Golem or Tirana and begin a scenic journey towards the Adriatic coast and the historic city of Berat.

The tour guide will make sure you are feeling comfortable and sharing interesting stories and information for the areas you will pass on the way.

First stop is Belshi town, a small local town with a small lake. This stop is more to stretch your legs, using toilets and enjoying the local vibe.

Than you will continue towards Berat, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its remarkably preserved Ottoman architecture and rich history. Upon arrival, explore Berat Castle, a unique fortress where local families still live within its ancient stone walls. Walk through cobbled streets, admire breathtaking panoramic views over the city, and discover well-preserved Byzantine churches hidden inside the castle complex.

After the castle visit, enjoy a guided walk through the historic areas of Mangalem and Gorica, situated on opposite sides of the Osumi River and connected by the iconic Gorica Bridge. These charming quarters, with their white Ottoman houses and large windows, give Berat its famous nickname: “The City of a Thousand Windows.”

Enjoy approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes of free time to explore modern Berat at your own pace, take photos from scenic viewpoints, relax in a traditional café, or enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Your guide will provide recommendations for authentic local cuisine.

After a full day of culture, history, and coastal relaxation, return comfortably to Durres, Golem or Tirana .
