What you can expect

  • Leave the city behind as you conquer the majestic Ma Phuc Pass, the gateway to the UNESCO Global Geopark. Instead of just driving through, dive deep into the heart of the Nung An culture.

Visit Phia Thap (incense village) and Phuc Sen (blacksmithing village). You won't just watch; you’ll learn the rhythm of the hammer and the scent of the forest from local masters.

Trek to the Angel Eye Mountain, a geological wonder with a massive natural hole piercing its core, surrounded by lush meadows and grazing cattle. End the day at Vinh Quy grass hill, offering panoramic views that feel like the “Switzerland of Vietnam.”

Settle into a traditional stone stilt house in Khuoi Ky Village. Enjoy a home-cooked family dinner with your Tay ethnic hosts, sharing stories by the hearth.

Wake up in the ancient stone village before heading to Nguom Ngao Cave. Explore the “Hidden Branch” to see tiger-shaped stalactites and breathtaking underground chambers.

Marvel at Ban Gioc Waterfall, the 4th largest border waterfall in the world. Take a bamboo raft to get you close enough to feel the mist on your face.

Your journey peaks in Ngoc Con and Phong Nam Valley. These are the “hidden souls” of Cao Bang, where the Quay Son River winds through golden rice fields and limestone pinnacles—perfect for photography enthusiasts looking for spots no one else has.

Return to Cao Bang City for a final local treat before your sleeper bus journey back to Hanoi.
