    Spring (April–June)
Walk through the world-famous Yuki-no-Otani Snow Corridor, where towering snow walls can reach up to 20 metres high. As winter gradually gives way to spring, enjoy the unique contrast of snowy alpine scenery and fresh greenery below—a spectacular sight found nowhere else in Japan.

    Summer (July–August)
Discover the refreshing beauty of Murodo, a highland paradise of alpine meadows, wetlands, and colourful wildflowers. Stroll around the crystal-clear Mikurigaike Pond, where the majestic peaks of the Northern Japan Alps are reflected on calm waters.

    Autumn (September–November)
Witness one of Japan’s most spectacular autumn landscapes as vibrant red, orange, and gold foliage blankets the mountains. Enjoy panoramic views from ropeways and observation decks around Daikanbo and Kurobedaira, offering unforgettable vistas of colourful valleys, alpine lakes, and rugged peaks.

    Late Autumn (November)
Before the route closes for winter, experience the magical contrast of snow-dusted mountain peaks above and lingering autumn colours below. With fewer visitors and crystal-clear mountain air, this is an ideal season for photographers and travellers seeking a peaceful alpine escape.

No matter the season, the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route offers one of Japan’s most iconic mountain adventures, combining stunning natural beauty, remarkable engineering, and unforgettable scenery.
