09:30 AM: Arrive at Sigiriya, the awe-inspiring 5th-century fortress built by King Kashyapa. Towering 660 feet, this UNESCO World Heritage Site, also known as Lion’s Rock (Sinhagiri), boasts breathtaking panoramic views. Climb 1,200 steps to explore its ancient ruins, including the iconic lion’s paws, stunning frescoes, and the ingenious water garden irrigation system. Recognised for its advanced architecture and engineering, Sigiriya is often considered the Eighth Wonder of the World.

13:30 PM: Discover the sacred Dambulla Cave Temple, Sri Lanka’s largest and best-preserved cave temple complex. Perched 160 metres above the surrounding plains, this UNESCO-listed site features over 80 caves, with five main caves adorned with remarkable Buddhist murals and 153 Buddha statues.
