What you can expect

  • Pench National Park is a popular wildlife destination located in Madhya Pradesh, India. It is known for its rich biodiversity, picturesque landscapes, and the inspiration behind Rudyard Kipling's famous novel “The Jungle Book.” If you're planning a weekend tour to Pench, here's a suggested itinerary to make the most of your time:

    Day 1:

Arrival in Nagpur: Pick up from Nagpur and proceed to Pench National Park by air-conditioned car.

Check-in: Upon arrival, check into your accommodation.

Afternoon Jungle Safari: In the afternoon, embark on your first jungle safari in Pench National Park. Accompanied by a trained guide, explore the park's dense forests and grasslands, and keep an eye out for wildlife sightings, including tigers, leopards, deer, wild boars, and a variety of bird species.

Evening Relaxation: After the safari, unwind at your accommodation, enjoy the serene surroundings, and indulge in some leisure time. Resorts offer facilities like swimming pools, spas (extra charges), and nature walks.

    Day 2:

Morning Jungle Safari: Start your day early with a morning jungle safari. The morning hours offer the best chances to spot wildlife as animals are usually more active during this time. Witness the beauty of the forest as it awakens and listen to the melodious sounds of birds chirping.

Visit Pench Dam: After the safari, visit the Pench Dam, located on the Pench River. Enjoy the scenic beauty of the dam, go for a boat ride, and soak in the peaceful atmosphere.

Tribal Village Visit: Explore the vibrant culture and traditions of the local tribes by visiting nearby tribal villages or visiting the nearby Alikatta village, known for its pottery. Interact with the villagers, learn about their way of life, and experience their unique customs and rituals.

Nature Walk or Bird Watching: In the evening, take a nature walk around the park's outskirts or indulge in bird watching. Pench is home to over 285 bird species, making it a paradise for bird lovers.

    Day 3:

Departure: Enjoy a leisurely breakfast in the morning, check out of your hotel, and prepare for your departure.

Optional Activities: If you have some extra time, you can opt for additional activities such as Ramtek sightseeing, Rama temple, Lighthouse, nature trails, and cycling.

Departure: Bid farewell to Pench National Park and proceed to your onward journey, carrying memories of an unforgettable wildlife adventure.
