Begin your adventure with a pickup from your ship or in Napier city. Then, travel by bus into the heart of the North Island.

Upon arrival, get ready to raft down the Mohaka River, one of New Zealand's finest wilderness river systems. Soak up the serene surroundings, including magnificent gorges, farmland, waterfalls, and untouched native forest, all while listening to the sounds of birdsong.

Enjoy a scenic raft trip down grade 2 rapids while listening to birdsong. Learn about the local history of the area, going back 80 million years, through to pre-European times with local Maori and into the near past and present.

This activity is also great for families, with children being able to swim down the river and drink the fresh water in a safe environment. Grade 2 rapids are fun but small, so if you don't wish to get too wet, don't jump in.

After your rafting adventure, enjoy a homemade light lunch before heading back to your ship or to Napier to check out the Art Deco buildings.
