Day 1: Ouarzazate, Skoura Oasis, Roses Valley, and Dades Gorge
Begin your adventure with a pickup from anywhere in Ouarzazate, including your hotel, riad, the airport, or nearby Aït Benhaddou. Start the journey along the famous Route of a Thousand Kasbahs, passing through the lush palm groves of Skoura Oasis, where centuries-old kasbahs rise above green gardens and traditional villages.
Continue towards the beautiful Roses Valley and enjoy a hands-on Moroccan cooking class with a local family guesthouse. Learn how to prepare authentic Moroccan dishes using fresh ingredients, traditional spices, and local techniques while discovering Amazigh culinary traditions.
After lunch, continue to the spectacular Dades Gorge for a 3-hour guided hike through the famous Monkey Fingers Canyon. This fascinating rock formation offers breathtaking landscapes, Berber villages, and hidden valleys where locals still farm their land.
In the evening, arrive at your lodge or kasbah in Dades Gorge where you will enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner followed by local music and a relaxing evening in the mountains.
Day 2: Dades Gorge, Todra Gorge, and Sahara Desert
After breakfast with panoramic views of the valley, continue towards the dramatic cliffs of Todra Gorge, one of Morocco’s most impressive natural canyons where towering rock walls rise over 300 metres high.
Take time to walk along the river and explore the gorge before continuing towards the Sahara. By afternoon, reach Merzouga, the gateway to the spectacular dunes of Erg Chebbi.
Begin your camel trekking experience across the golden dunes, especially magical during sunset when the sand glows in shades of orange and gold. Arrive at a luxury Sahara desert camp, where you will enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner under the stars, Berber drum music around the campfire, stargazing in the peaceful desert, and comfortable luxury tents with private facilities.
Day 3: Merzouga, Rissani, Draa Valley, Fint Oasis and Ouarzazate
Wake up early to witness an unforgettable sunrise over the Sahara dunes before enjoying breakfast at the camp. Then, depart towards Rissani, known for its traditional market and its role as the ancient trading centre of the Tafilalt region.
Continue across desert landscapes towards the lush palm groves of the Draa Valley, famous for its endless date palms, fortified villages, and ancient caravan routes. Enjoy a relaxing lunch in the valley, surrounded by palm trees and traditional kasbah architecture.
In the afternoon, pass through Agdz before returning to Ouarzazate.
