PICK-UP IN PUNO
We'll pick you up around 8:00 a.m. from your hotel in city centre Puno or from the Plaza de Armas. From there, we'll start the Aymara Route heading south, while the guide shares cultural information that contextualises this unique experience.
CHUCUITO – Temple of Fertility (Inca Uyo)
After a 40-minute ride, we'll arrive in Chucuito, where we'll explore the Temple of Fertility, an archaeological site still used in traditional ceremonies. Then we'll visit its main square, the sundial, and the Church of the Assumption, notable examples of Andean colonial architecture.
CHULLPAS DE MOLLOCO
We'll continue to the Chullpas de Molloco, ancient funerary towers that represent the transition between the pre-Inca and Inca cultures. We'll walk along the trails of the place while the guide explains its spiritual importance and its link with the Andean worldview.
Waru waru
The route continues to the waru waru, ancient agricultural systems designed to withstand frost. Here you can observe their geometric designs and understand, even from a drone's aerial view, how this ancient technology remains a benchmark in agricultural engineering.
ARAMU MURU - Hayu Marka
Next, we'll arrive at Aramu Muru, also known as Hayu Marka or the “Gate of the Gods.” This site, carved out of a single rock, is considered a sacred place and one of the most enigmatic energy points of the highlands, surrounded by legends and an unforgettable mystical atmosphere.
JULI – The Little Rome of America
We'll continue to Juli, famous for its colonial temples that earned it the nickname of the “Little Rome of America.” You'll have free time for lunch, to rest, and to stroll through its history-filled streets.
Back to Puno
We'll wrap up the experience by heading back to the city around 5:00 p.m., ending a day packed with culture, history, stunning landscapes, and a deep connection with the Aymara tradition.
