This is a self-guided group tour, organised to the Seven Rila Lakes from Sofia.
Enjoy a refreshing escape from Sofia with this self-guided group day trip to the breathtaking Seven Rila Lakes. Located just 1.5 hours from the capital, this natural wonder in the Rila Mountains is the perfect way to experience Bulgaria’s stunning alpine scenery in a single day.
Travel comfortably by minivan or bus to Panichishte Resort, where you’ll take the chair lift up to the hiking area. From there, set off on a scenic hike and discover all seven glacial lakes, each named after its unique shape or characteristic. Admire the crystal-clear, emerald waters and soak in spectacular panoramic views along the way.
The hike is of moderate difficulty, with approximately 2 hours of walking in each direction. You’ll also have around 1 hour of free time to relax and enjoy lunch by the lakes (please bring your own food).
