What you can expect

  • Experience the magic of Mount Etna, Europe’s highest active volcano, in the golden light of sunset. This intimate small-group tour combines adventure, nature, and local flavours for an unforgettable Sicilian experience.

Begin your journey at a selected local shop, where you’ll taste the authentic products of Etna’s fertile lands, from rich honey to fragrant olive oil, a delicious introduction to the heart of Sicilian culture.

Next, explore a captivating lava cave formed by centuries-old eruptions. Equipped with helmets and headlamps, you’ll discover the hidden underground world of Etna and learn how the volcano’s immense power has shaped the landscape over time.

As the evening unfolds, ascend to the Rifugio Sapienza at 1,910 m (6,266 ft) on the southern slopes of the volcano. Walk along unique trails weaving through recent lava flows and ancient extinct craters, while your guide shares fascinating stories of Etna’s geology and history.

The grand finale is a panoramic viewpoint where the sun sets over the silhouette of the volcano, painting the sky in fiery reds and golds that contrast with the dramatic lava fields below, a truly breathtaking moment.

NOTE: If you’re arriving by car, please meet your guide at the Terminal Interbus Recanati Naxos
