What you can expect

  • Discover two very different sides of Uzbekistan in one private day experience: the country’s fascinating solar-energy heritage and the traditions of local grape growing.

Travel from Tashkent towards the mountains and visit the Big Solar Furnace, an impressive scientific facility where sunlight is concentrated by hundreds of mirrors to produce extremely high temperatures. Learn how this unique complex works and why Uzbekistan became an important location for solar research.

Continue to a local vineyard away from the busy tourist routes. Meet local people, walk through the vineyard, learn about traditional grape cultivation, and discover how grapes are used in Uzbek food and winemaking traditions. Depending on the season, you may see the different stages of grape production and enjoy a tasting of local products.

This experience is designed for travellers who want more than the standard sightseeing itinerary. It combines science, rural life, local traditions, nature, and personal interaction with Uzbekistan’s countryside.

The experience is private and includes comfortable transport from Tashkent, an English-speaking guide, and water during the tour.
