Start your journey early in the morning from Tirana for a full-day adventure through northern Albania and into Montenegro, following the scenic Adriatic coast. Sit back and relax as your professional tour guide shares interesting facts and stories about Albania and Montenegro during the drive.
The first stop will be in Shiroka village, a peaceful lakeside village with a pleasant promenade and beautiful views of Shkodra Lake and the Buna River. Here, you will have free time to enjoy coffee, breakfast, or light snacks by the water, and you can enjoy optional a scenic 30-minute boat trip on Shkodra Lake , a wonderful way to admire the untouched nature, observe different birds, and experience the calm atmosphere of the lake. During the summer months, you will also have the chance to jump from the boat and swim in the refreshing waters of the lake.
After Shiroka, the tour continues with the border crossing into Montenegro (passport required). Your first stop in Montenegro will be at the panoramic viewpoint of Sveti Stefan, one of the most photographed places on the Adriatic coast. Although access to the island itself is not possible, the viewpoint offers breathtaking scenery and excellent opportunities for memorable photos.
The journey then continues to Budva, one of Montenegro’s most vibrant seaside towns. You will have approximately three hours of free time to explore the charming Old Town, relax on the beach, enjoy local cuisine, or simply take in the Mediterranean atmosphere at your own pace. Your guide will provide commentary and background information during the drive so that, once you arrive at each stop, you can fully enjoy your time exploring independently. If you are looking for a fully guided walking tour inside the cities, please note that this tour may not be the right choice for you.
After an unforgettable day on the Montenegrin coast, sit back and enjoy the return journey to Tirana in the evening, with a short stop along the way for bathrooms and a chance to stretch your legs.
VERY IMPORTANT: a valid passport is required for this tour, and it is the guest’s responsibility to check in advance whether a visa is needed to enter Montenegro.
