What you can expect

  • See Mount Fuji from its most picture-perfect viewpoints and experience the scenic and cultural highlights of this UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site on an easy day trip from Tokyo. From lakeside scenery and the famous five-story pagoda to a traditional village and a seasonal journey onto Mount Fuji, discover a different side of the mountain at every stop.

⭐ Mt. Fuji 5th Station — Step Onto Mt. Fuji at 2,300m
During the operating season, travel up Mount Fuji itself to the 5th Station. Step onto the mountain, experience its atmosphere up close, take in the scenery, and enjoy time for local snacks and souvenirs.
During the off-season, get as close to Mount Fuji as conditions allow by travelling to the highest accessible point on the mountain. Then visit the Mt. Fuji Museum to discover its nature, history, and cultural significance.

Oishi Park, Lake Kawaguchi — Capture the Classic Lake & Fuji View
Take in beautiful views of Mount Fuji across Lake Kawaguchi, framed by seasonal flowers and scenery that changes throughout the year. Enjoy time to capture your favourite Fuji photos by the lakeside.

Arakurayama Sengen Park — See the Famous Pagoda & Mt. Fuji View
Head up to the five-story Chureito Pagoda for one of Japan’s most recognisable views, with Mount Fuji rising behind the pagoda and the city of Fujiyoshida below.

Oshino Hakkai — Step Into a Traditional Village at the Foot of Mt. Fuji
Stroll through traditional village scenery and discover eight crystal-clear spring ponds fed by water naturally filtered through Mount Fuji’s volcanic layers. Browse local food stalls and experience a more traditional side of the Fuji area.

With comfortable transport from Tokyo and a guide accompanying you throughout the day, there’s no need to plan complicated connections between the Fuji area’s major sights. Simply enjoy the journey and experience the essential highlights of Mount Fuji in one day.

*The tea ceremony experience shown in the video is available on a different tour! Search for “From Tokyo: Mt. Fuji, Tea Ceremony & Gotemba Outlet Day Tour,” which also includes a choice of Gotemba Outlet shopping or a hot spring visit in the afternoon.
