What you can expect

  • Leave Tokyo for a Mt Fuji day trip that feels more relaxed than a large coach tour and more affordable than a private charter. This premium small-group experience is designed around two Fuji lakes: the classic photo scenery of Lake Kawaguchi and the quieter lakeside atmosphere of Lake Yamanaka.

    Start with Oishi Park, where Lake Kawaguchi, seasonal flowers, open walking paths, and Mt Fuji can come together in one wide landscape on clear days. Continue to the popular Lawson photo area near Kawaguchiko Station, then stop at Hikawa Clock Shop street, a small-town photo spot where Mt Fuji may appear at the end of the road.

    At Oshino Hakkai, slow down and explore clear spring ponds fed by Mt Fuji’s underground water. You will have about 80 minutes here, including time for lunch at your own expense. Walk between ponds, browse local food stalls, see village-style scenery, and enjoy a more traditional Fuji-area atmosphere.

    The final highlight is Lake Yamanaka, the largest of the Fuji Five Lakes and a quieter contrast to busy Kawaguchiko. Spend free time by the lakeside, look for swans, take photos, or enjoy the open lake scenery. Guests who want a more active experience can book the Lake Yamanaka cycling option in advance. Guests who prefer a slower finish may choose to visit Benifuji no Yu hot spring at their own expense. If Benifuji no Yu is closed, Fujiyama Onsen may be used as an alternative when feasible.

    Choose either JR Tokyo Station Marunouchi North Exit meeting or selected hotel pickup within Tokyo’s 12 wards. This is a shared small-group tour charged per person. Guests may share the vehicle with other travellers, and the route cannot be fully customised. Mt Fuji visibility, swan sightings, cycling availability, hot spring operation, and traffic conditions cannot be guaranteed.
