Start your day early at Shinjuku, escaping the city's hustle aboard a comfortable air-conditioned coach. As the skyline fades, the scenery shifts—urban concrete gives way to lush mountains, and the breeze begins to smell like the sea. Arrive at Omuroyama, a perfect cone-shaped extinct volcano, often compared to a giant matcha pudding. A 6-minute scenic chairlift ride takes you to the summit, where a 360-degree circular trail offers panoramic views of snow-capped Mt. Fuji, the vast Sagami Bay, the rolling Hakone mountains, and Izu’s Seven Islands floating in the Pacific.

Arrive at one of Izu’s best-kept secrets: the Jogasaki Coast. Shaped by a volcanic eruption 4,000 years ago, the rugged lava cliffs here meet the cobalt sea in dramatic fashion. Dare to cross the Kadowaki Suspension Bridge, 48 metres long and 23 metres high, suspended above roaring waves. Stroll the Jogasaki Nature Trail, a 9km path with epic viewpoints and volcanic rock formations.
