What you can expect

Spend a full day exploring the natural beauty and engineering marvels scattered around the Arctic Circle in Alaska. Get up-close looks at the Trans-Alaska Pipeline, listen to the rushing waters of the Yukon River, and go for a leisurely paced hike to the sweeping views around Finger Mountain.

Catch a ride from your Fairbanks hotel, settling into the seat of a comfortable van as you head out of town bound for the north. At the Trans-Alaska Pipeline Viewpoint, make your first stop to learn about its monumental construction. Cruise past the Yukon River's snaking bends and take in breathtaking views of the valley during a hike on Finger Mountain.

Snap a few photos at a sign declaring you've crossed into the Arctic Circle, walk along the banks of the Yukon River, and check out the dinner menu at Yukon River Camp before you head back towards Fairbanks.
