What you can expect

  • Overview:

Embark on a full-day tour that takes you on a journey of discovery through the Southern end of Phu Quoc Island. The tour includes visits to a Pearl Farm, local market, the infamous Coconut Prison, a Fish Sauce Factory, Bai Sao beach - renowned as the most beautiful beach on the island and Ho Quoc Pagoda, the largest Buddhist temple in Phu Quoc

    Itinerary:

Phu Quoc’s pearls are renowned for their exceptional quality, as the sea surrounding the island provides the perfect breeding ground for these precious gems. During your visit to a Pearl Farm, you will gain fascinating insights into the oyster cultivation process, transforming a simple oyster into stunning jewellery. Afterwards, visit a local market, where you can experience the vibrant atmosphere, discover fresh local produce and seafood, and get a glimpse into the island’s everyday life.

Next, we will uncover a darker chapter of the island’s history with a visit to Coconut Prison, also known as Phu Quoc Prison. Originally established during the French colonisation of Vietnam in the 1940s and later expanded in the 1960s by U.S-backed Southern Vietnamese troops, this notorious prison held many Vietnamese soldiers.

Our next stop will be the unmissable Sao beach, famous for its soft white sand and turquoise waters - perfect for relaxing and swimming. We will enjoy lunch and visit a Fish Sauce Factory, where the renowned “Nuoc mam Phu Quoc” fish sauce is still made in traditional wooden barrels, a staple of Vietnamese cuisine.

Finally, we will visit the largest Buddhist temple on Phu Quoc, Ho Quoc Pagoda, beautifully nestled between the mountains and the sea.

What to bring: Sun cream, hat, flip flops or sandals, swimming costume, beachwear, towel, camera.
