Mehrangarh is one of the most spectacular forts in India. It is perched in an impregnable rock at 120 metres above the ground. It was built in 1438 by Rao Jodha, the founder of the city of Jodhpur. Some scenes in the Hollywood film “The Dark Knight Rises” were shot in this fort!
