Hola! I’m Alvaro, and together we’ll embark on an unforgettable journey into the heart of mezcal.
Our adventure begins as we head to my picturesque hometown of Mitla, surrounded by beautiful mountains and endless agave fields.
For my family and me, mezcal is more than just a drink — it’s part of our identity, our culture, and our way of life.

Driven by my passion to share our Zapotec traditions, we’ll walk through the agave fields, learning how each variety contributes to the unique flavours and aromas of mezcal. Along the way, you’ll enjoy breathtaking landscapes, capture incredible photos, and share plenty of laughs.

Next, we’ll visit my family’s artisanal distillery, where I’ll guide you through every step of the traditional production process — from roasting the agave in an underground stone oven to the final distillation. You’ll feel the dedication and love that goes into every drop.

We’ll finish our experience with a tasting of different mezcal varieties, paired with a delicious, authentic Oaxacan meal prepared with local ingredients.
